• Your email address — so we can send you the weekly question and confirm your subscription.
• Sign-up context — the date, IP address, and browser user-agent when you subscribe. We keep this as a record of your consent and to prevent abuse.
• Email engagement — whether an issue was delivered, opened, or bounced, so we can keep our list healthy and improve the newsletter.

We don’t ask for your name, and we never collect free-form personal writing from you.

• A sign-in cookie — when you confirm your email we set a secure session cookie so we can recognize you. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
• An email open pixel — our emails include a small, invisible image that tells us whether a message was opened. You can prevent this by turning off remote images in your email app.

To send you the weekly question. That weekly email may also include news, offers, and discounts about Beautiful Mind’s own products and services (such as Beautiful Mind Pathways). We also use your email to send the one-time confirmation code, to keep the list clean (handling bounces and complaints), and to understand aggregate engagement so we can improve. We don’t sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.

Where the law requires a legal basis for using your data (for example, under the GDPR), ours is your consent — which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing.

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf, under their own terms:

• Resend — delivers our email and records delivery/open/bounce events.
• Vercel — hosts the website.
• Neon — hosts our database.

These providers may process data outside Canada (for example, in the United States).

For as long as you’re subscribed, plus a reasonable period afterward for our records and legal obligations. Unsubscribing stops the emails; ask us to delete your data entirely and we will.

We use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards to protect your data, and we limit who can access it. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as Canada’s PIPEDA or the EU/UK GDPR. We honour those requests.

If you have a concern we haven’t resolved, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada — or your local data-protection authority if you’re in the EU or UK.

Beautiful Mind isn’t directed to anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy; we’ll revise the date above and, for meaningful changes, note it.
